Food Truck Talk – Searching for the best food trucks!

It seems that the last few weeks we have been writing about anything and everything that is deep fried, breaded or contains lots of sugar.  Granted they all those food items taste fabulous but every now and then we need something a little bit healthier!

The Greenz On Wheelz food truck certainly makes the perfect destination for those times when you feel like you “need a salad” or even when you just want a delicious wrap or melt.

The slogan “Lettuce Serve You” certainly is appropriate when presented with over 10 different salads to choose from.  Each salad sounds better than the next.

I love a great BBQ chicken salad, and Greenz On Wheelz doesn’t disappoint with their chicken tossed with black beans, corn, jicama, tomato, cilantro, green onion, tortilla strips, jack cheese with BBQ and ranch dressings.

Two of the more popular salad choices seem to be the Chinese Chicken (with almonds, water chestnuts, green onion, crispy contons, sesame seeds and “a great “truck-made” salad dressing) and the Chicken Cobb (bacon, tomato, avocado, egg, blue cheese, and ranch dressing).

The “Italian” salad is something special with it’s combination of proscuitto, mortadella, salami, tomato, pepperoncini, garbanzo beans and provolone cheese with balsamic vinaigrette.

Non meat-eaters will appreciate the Caesar Salad and the Veggie Salad (tomato, cucumber, carrots, avocado, red onion, mushroom, bell pepper, black olives, garbanzo beans with either balsamic or lemon viaigrette dressing.

All of the salads can be also made as a wrap!  Plus Greenz On Wheelz serves up some great “melts” served on their paremsan butter spread sourdough bread.  Choice from tuna, turkey, roast beef, italian or veggie melts.

If you must have fried foods when ordering from Greenz On Wheelz their fresh cut potato wedges are pretty spectacular!

I’m going to check with Greenz On Wheelz to see if they can make me one of my favorites, The Wedge Salad!  A wedge of iceberg lettuce, topped with chopped eggs, crumbled bacon, diced red onion, chopped tomatoes, and chunky bleu cheese dressing!  Ahhh, heaven!
