LA Food Truck Tour (Part 1)
Where do you go for your spring break vacation? For us the answer was simple, on a photo tour of Los Angeles food trucks!
Our first stop was on Ontario in Burbank (near Yahoo!)where we found a line-up of six trucks. We couldn’t eat at all of them but we had a great time looking at everyone’s menus (and food) and meeting some great people.
Our first stop was at the Gastrobus, there is no question the most popular items were the Sweet Potato Fries with Honey Mustard and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. No question, high qualtiy food with great presentation!

Patty Wagon Hamburgers were serving quality grass-fed beef (you CAN taste the difference) hamburgers. I watched a woman eat the “I Get A Kick Out Of You” hamburger. It is topped with roasted jalapenos, pancetta, provolone and mayo. She looked quite happy. The Patty Wagon Logo looks a little like a police badge which must have caught the eye of local law enforcement who ticketed them for parking in a “red” area (slightly).

The Bower’s Gourmet Sausage truck was dishing out great sausage sandwiches, duh! I couldn’t resist, and was impressed by their array of unique sausage varieties including Apple Chicken, Hot Polish, Bratwurst, Mexican Choirzo, Shrimp/Chicken, etc. I hadn’t heard much buzz about this truck, but their sausage is top notch. And their truck is very fine looking!

The Mighty Boba truck was next on our jaunt. Luca and Francine welcomed us to their truck as though we were family. It didn’t take long to realize that’s how they treat all of their customers! This is probably why their take on Taiwanese snack foods and drinks make them so popular. Their food is great and their unique tea drinks are refreshiing.

Francine suggested that we visit the Downtown LA Art Walk later in the week where we could see a lot of trucks in one location! We followed here advice, more on that in another post!
