It’s worth repeating, for just $10, you get a fresh gourmet meal prepared by a top celebrity chef, a healthy beverage provided by POM or Fiji, a healthy snack and/or dessert that is all served on eco-friendly dinnerware.
Chefs that have participated include David Meyers (Comme), Jean Francois (La Cachette Bistro), Joe Miller (Bar Pinxto), Michael Fiorelli (Terranea/Mar Sel), and many others.
Last week the Cart For A Cause featured Chef Mirko Paderno from Oliverio with a menu of parmigiana risotta with braised meat, pizetta napoletana, and ricotto cannelloni with winter vegetables. That menu plus a drink and beverage is hard to beat for just $10. And remember, that meal will feed yourself and a homebound senior citizen for an entire day.
It’s great to see such a worthy cause execute events that return 100% of their money received to the community. I wouldn’t be at all suprised to see this concept start to take off in othe cities around the country.
