Food Truck Talk – Searching for the best food trucks!

Nothing says comfort like a good old grilled cheese sandwich! Southern California’s Grilled Cheese Truck was born after their founders entered their Cheesy Mac & Rib Melt into LA’s 7th Annual Grilled Cheese Invitational. What was a weekend activity and a hobby became the impetus for the Grilled Cheese Truck.

At the festival the site of all the grilled cheese fanatics encouraged the Grilled Cheese Truck to not only offer “traditional” grilled cheese sandwiches, but also some amazingly great creations as well.

The “plain” grilled cheese is offered with American Cheese, Sharp Cheddar, Double Cream Brie or Gruyere. The Brie Melt is served on cranberry walnut bread with brie, pears and honey! Wow, add some smoked turkey if you like.

Vegetarians will be pleased with the Harvest Melt, roasted butternut squash with sauteed leeks, balsamic and agave syrups.

For dessert what more can you ask for than a Dessert Melt of gooey roasted banana puree, Nutella and marshmellow.

But, the pièce de résistance is the famous Cheesy Mac and Rib… macaroni and cheese with sharp cheddar, bbq pork and carmelized onions. This is a taste that will have you coming back time and time again.
